It explores the situation of Nepalese children who are compelled to become street children in Kathmandu. Conor rescues them and sets practical example of humanism. Though the memoir has been lauded for the representation of problematic of war, the concept of humanism becomes hidden in the memoir. Therefore, this research undertakes to bring to the limelight the hitherto neglected issue of humanity burried within the memoir. Despite the difference interms of nationality and culture humanity binds us in to the same string.
