Item Autonomous Learning In Preservice Teacher Education(Department of English, 2021) Adhikary, SaraswatiTeachers and learners are directly connected stakeholders, who work in collaboration to enhance students’ learning. Their roles are of equal importance in learning. However, their roles are viewed differently. Traditionally, teachers used to be believed to have dominant roles in the classroom. But modern education system calls for shifted roles of both participants. To be specific, the semester system is believed to emphasize more active roles of learners along with that of teachers. Therefore, the present research entitled Autonomous Learning in Pre-service Teacher Education was an attempt to find out the roles of teachers and learners in autonomous learning and to find out the challenges faced by teachers and learners in autonomous learning. Survey research design was followed to complete this study. The learner respondents and the teacher respondents for this research work were selected using lottery method under random sampling procedure. The primary data were collected from the thirty five pre service teachers of master level studying in semester system in Tribhuvan University and five teacher educators teaching to them.Questionnaire and interview guidelines were the main tools for data collection. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted descriptively using content analysis approach in qualitative way. The main finding of the study was that there are different roles of teachers like initiator, material developer, resource person, guide, facilitator, in terms of the modes of learning and the resources they use and learners like active participant, risk taker, information hunter, responsible, in autonomous learning. Similarly, this study also found that the learners have dominant roles such as active participant, risk taker, information hunter, responsible as they have to take the risk of their own learning deciding the contents to learn, the way to learn them and the way to use the learnt things in comparison to teachers though their roles are termed differently by the teachers and the learners. The study also revealed that there are many challenges like the lack of teacher training programs, lack of teaching learning materials, challenges in undertaking the roles by the teachers and the learners during autonomous learning. This thesis contains five chapters. The first chapter deals with the background of the study, statement of the problems, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study, de-limitations of the study and operational definitions of the key terms. The main issues included in this research are land right, land ownership, land institution, dual ownership of land, fragmentation of holdings, nature of land encroachment and landlessness among the rural households. It is needless to say that land is the socio-cultural entity where co-existence of two or more legal system as well as specific rules and regulations are attached to it. Such plural legal processes have created complexity and confusion to the government and the concerned people. The study examines issue of landlessness, squatters (sukumbasi), and peasants, who played major role in the land development of Makar VDC. As the land value rose along with social change, they are unable to sustain land right due to local power politics and the land resource ultimately goes in the hands of the local elites. Similarly, the communal land is used in the name local institutions like schools, campuses, temples, monasteries and so on. The institutions played a means of land transformation in the study area. When land is transformed though local innovative rules and regulation, controversial and arbitrary legal systems are created. The process provided a fertile land to the local elites to germinate power and authority in social sphere. The dichotomy between local and central and peoples' perception on different social phenomenon has created dilemma that has relatively influenced the governmental land policy as well as local land development. Different commissions have been formed and their emblematic notion of 'land to the tillers' as well as rural political volatility has generated a new power politics over land. Adequate legislative and administrative machinery have not been provided to meet the ever increasing problems which have arisen in the implementation because statutory provisions have been pyramided. The burden of tenure insecurity that is better understood as an effect of social relations and their dynamics, many more land has became merely a political discourse even in the 'so-called' democratic society.Item Role of Advertising in Brand Loyalty of Cold Drinks (With Reference to Bottlers Nepal "Terai" Limited, Chitwan)(Faculty of Management, Balkumari College, Narayangrah, 2011) Shrestha, RitaNot AvailableItem Role of Cottage and Small Industries in the Economic Development of Bhojpur District(Central Department of Economics, 2018) Rai, SirjanaNot AvailableItem Role of Foreign Direct Investment on Employment Generation in Nepal(Central Department of Economics, 2018) Ramesh, BairagiNot AvailableItem Role of Micro Finance for Women’s Empowerment (A Case Study of Adarshanagar, ward 6 of Butwal Municipality in Rupendehi District)(Central Department of Sociology and Anthropology, 2014) Paudel, RajibNot AvailableItem Role of Micro Finance to Uplift the Women in Banke District, Bageshwori V.D.C.(Faculty of Management, 2010) Karna, NirajNot AvailableItem Role of Micro-Finance Program in Changing Socio Economic Status of Rural Women (A Case Study of Women in jumrikanda, Pyuthan(Central Department of Sociology, 2016) Shrestha, RadheshyamNot AvailableItem Role of Microfinance in Poverty Reduction (A Case Study of Microfinance Program of Manushi In Goldhunga VDC of Kathmandu District)(Central Department of Rural Development, 2019) Regmi, BholanathOne of the common solutions to resolve poverty, a big issue in both Nepal and in the World, is national programs that have given small credit for the poor. However, financial services alone cannot improve poverty effectively because poverty can be caused by multiple reasons. Microfinance (MF) intervention for poor women is considered as an appropriate way to attack poverty. The impact of Microfinance Institution (MFI) on livelihoods of poor women households through accumulation of social, human, financial, natural, and physical assets that contributes to poverty reduction needs to be examined. In recent decades, microfinance – small-scale financial services to low-income households – has given the promise of improving the lives of hundreds of millions of people across the world. The literature on microfinance identifies outreach, impact, and sustainability as the three goals of microfinance institutions. This thesis focuses on qualitative and quantitative impact of microfinance program on participating women of Goldhunga Village Development Committee of Kathmandu district. Mfs is now being considered as one of the most important and an effective mechanism for poverty alleviation through which to disseminate precious information on ways to improve the health, education, legal rights, sanitation and other living standards, which are of relevant concerns for the poor. Likewise, many micro-credit programs have targeted one of the most vulnerable groups in society – women, who live in households with little or almost no assets. By providing opportunities for self-employment, many studies have concluded that these programs have significantly improved women's security, autonomy, self confidence and status within the household. Several microfinance institutions are working in Parbat district, but NirdhanUthhanBikash Bank and NESDO Nepal are chosen for the study . These institutions are working tremendously to the empowerment, poverty reduction and improvement of living standards for the poor people in Phalewas Municipality at Parbat district. They are not only working in Parbat district but also providing help and support, and are the source of motivation to other MFIs around the whole Nepal. The study has chosen random sampling technique and has interviewed the people who are already involved in microfinance activities. Therefore, the accuracy of the analysis heavily relies on the data provided by the people, interviewed. From the analysis of data, thestudy found that microfinance has the positive impact on the standard of living of the poor people and on their life style. It has not only helped the poor people to come over the poverty line, but has also helped them to empower themselves. There is an argument that the interest rate of MFIs is high. In spite of the debate about higher interest rate, MFIs are contributing not only in alleviating the poverty and improving the living standards of the poor people, also offering extensive human development programs in Nepal.Item Role of Microfinance Towards Empowerment of Rural Women in Nepal(Central Department of Management, 2018) Aryal, ArunPoverty always exist into the world in various forms. Required data was collected from Puja VDC of Pyuthan district by proportional random sampling method using a pre-structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using simple statistical tools like mean, percentage, and ratio. Inequality was measured using Gini-coefficient and Lorenz Curve techniques. The key findings of the study are that reasons to seek foreign employment include unemployment and family debt burden; remittance has increased the socioeconomic condition of the households and played vital role in alleviating poverty; a larger amount of remittance income has been used for household expenses followed by loan repayment and social activities; most of the returnees are unable to apply their skills learnt from foreign employment; income inequality in the study area has been quite high after remittance transfer which widens Gini-coefficient from 0.48 to 0.61. Remittance has been extremely important to Nepal as the country has ranked at the top among the remittance recipient LDCs relating to the share of the GDP. Remittance has emerged as one of the most fruitful panacea to get rid of many problems. Official remittances have grown by an average of 24% over the past 10 years and if the growth rate is continued remittance will exceed the total GDP of Nepal in 2020. This study suggests that the government needs to reduce the high cost incurred for migration; stop the activities of brokers and agents who exploit the potential migrants; stop physical torture against women migrants; channel remittance into productive sectors of the economy including small and micro enterprises through financial intermediaries; set up a separate bank for providing loans for foreign employment; provide skill development training before going to abroad and provide opportunities to utilize newly learnt skills from foreign employment. Remittance has succeeded creating essential pre-conditions of development. If remittance and other resources are properly managed through policy programmes, the economy has now reached the stage from where we can expect sustained growth and development with further reduction in poverty and inequality in coming years.Item Role of Savings and Credit Cooperative In Improving of its Members' Socio-Economic Life (A Case Study of Maker Ganesh Mahila Krishi Sahakari At Dakinskali- 9, Kathmandu )(Central Department of Rural Development, 2017) Karki, HemaNot AvailableItem Role of Small Cooperatives for Women's Empowerment A Case Study of Chandrapur Municipality, Rautahat(Central Department of Rural Development, 2019) Upreti, UrmilaSmall cooperatives Limited is located in Chandrapur Municipalitty of Rautahat District which is far from the capital and eastern part of Nepal.
