Abstract: The present study entitled “A Comparative study of the Pronoun of Bajhangi dialect with English”has main objectives to find out the pronouns of Bajhangi dialect and to identify the similarities and differences of pronouns between English and Bajhangi dialect. The required data were collected by using close-ended and open-ended questionnaire.The total samples were forty Bajhanginative speakers who have good knowledge of English language. To take the sample for the study, I adopted random sampling procedures. I analyzed and interpreted the collected data from descriptive and comparative point of view with the help of tables and illustrations.This study shows that there are numbers of forms of Bajhangi language such as mu, afui, hame, tame, u and soon. It is also found that Bajhangi and English are similar in case, number,persons and so on in one hand but on the other hand, English and Bajhangi are different mainly on honorific and non-honorific pronouns. Bajhangi pronouns have both honorific and non-honorific forms but which are not found in English pronouns. This study consists of five chapters. First Chapter deals with the introduction which includes background of the study, statements of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study,delimitation of the study and operational definitions of the key teams.Second chapter deals with the review of the different literatures including theoretical and empirical, and conceptual framework of the research.Similarly, third chapter deals with the methodology adopted for the study in terms of sources of data, population of the study, sampling procedure, tools and procedures of data collection and ethical considerations. Likewise, chapter four contains the analysis and interpretation of the data collected from informants. Finally, chapter five deals with the findings, conclusion and recommendations of the study.
