Abstract: The present thesis entitled 'Perception of Parents Towards Code-Mixing by their Children' has been prepared to find out how parents perceive their children's code mixing. Survey research was done using questionnaire as the data collection tool among the parents of Pawannagar -3, Dang. Number of sampled population was 40 Parents who are literate were purposively sampled having school aged children. Collected data was analyzed using descriptive and statistical apparatus. The study concludes that most of the parents positively perceive their children's code mixing. They like this feature and want their children use Nepali language by mixing English codes. This research report consists of five chapters. The first chapter consists of general background, statement of the problem, rationale of the study, objectives, research questions, significance, delimitations and operational definitions of the key terms. The second chapter consists of literature review, implication of the literature review and theoretical framework of the study. The third chapter consists of study design, sample population and procedure, data collection tools and procedure. Similarly the fourth chapter covers the whole discussion and the last chapter incorporates summary, conclusions and implications of the study. At the end of the report references and appendices are also appended.
