Abstract: The present research study entitled “Classroom Performance of Trained Teachers of English at Primary Level” aimed to find out the classroom performances of the trained teachers of English at primary level and to explore their opinion towards teacher training. This study was carried out using both the primary and secondary sources of data. The data for the study were collected through observation checklist and semi-structured interview. Observation checklist was used to find out the performance of trained teachers in classroom teaching.On the other hand, semi-structured interview was used to explore their opinion towards teacher training. For the classroom observation,the researcher purposively selected twenty primary level English teachers from different government aided schools of syangja district and for interview,the researcher selected only ten teachers whose classes were to be observed. From this study,it was found that the trained teachers were not entirely implementing their skills in the that they had learnt from the training in the classroom. Their opinions towards teacher training were found positive and they accepted it as an indispensable component of effective teaching. This study includes four chapters. The first chapter contains general background, review of the related literature, objectives and significance of the study. The second chapter mainly concerns with the methodology used in the study; the sources of data, sampling procedure, tools and processes of data collection and limitations of the study. Similarly, the third chapter deals with the analysis and interpretation of data. The fourth chapter consists of the findings and recommendations of the study.Finally, references and appendices are followed in the concluding chapter in order to give validation to the research.
