Abstract: The present research work entitled “Mixing of English Codes in News Broadcast in Doteli Dialect” aims to find out the English words in the news and classify the words into different field of knowledge. Only secondary sources of data were used for the research. I used non-random judgemental sampling procedure. I collected altogether 40 episode of news from Shuklaphanta and Radio Mahakali FM by the use of recorder. This study found out that Code-mixing in the news is a regular and natural phenomenon. Regarding the different field, political words were maximally used by both FM for example party, rally, ultimatum,board, united, regrouping, vote, package modality etc. The thesis is organised in four chapters. Chapter one includes introduction of the study, review of related literature, objectives and significance of the study.Chapter two deals with methodology used to carry out the research. Under this,sources of data, sampling procedure,tools for data collection, process of data collection and the limitation of the study also are included.Chapter three deals with analysis and interpretation of data. The data are analysed and described by using the statistical tools like tables, percentage, etc. The fourth chapter incorporates findings and recommendations followed by references and appendices
