Abstract: Tropical fruit cultivation is concerned, about 59 districts of Nepal are cultivating it with view of commercial aspects, and Sindhuli districts climate is also found to be better for the tropical fruit cultivation in Nepal. Sindhuli district is very famous for its production. The main objectives of the study are to analyses the production and price trend of fruits, explore the socio-economic condition of farmersand assess the socio-economic impacts by fruit production on the farmers. In research methodology useddifferent sampling procedure to get exact data. This study is designed in an explorative way. Primary and secondary data collected through various techniques and tools of social science are used to justify the objectives of the study. Dadiguranse VDCs is one of the suitable areas of tropical fruit cultivation. In these VDCs, manyhouseholds are related in tropical fruit cultivation. It is the most profitable and favorable types ofproduction practices. It helps to improve the socio-economic condition of farmers, by increasing their real income. The sample households have earned more then Rs 3, 80, 00,000 in 2068 B.S. from fruit production. After fruit production farmers are able to save money for the food security. With their surplus money, they have become able to buy fixed assets seasonal clothes and other goods. They are able to send their children to the school, collage, improve housing condition. They have changed their previous occupation. Their drinking water, sanitation, health condition have been better than before and social and political awareness have been increased. The study that prove, if people are involve in fruit cultivation and production, they can easily improve their socio-economic condition. The study suggested some recommendation for the concerned agencies for improve the socio-economic life of people and increasing the production of fruits. More over the results of the study suggest that there is suitable climate for tropical fruit production, but many difficult like low price, lack of systematic marketing system, knowledge, transportation and warehouse facility etc are the main problems for the fruit production. But also, this area for tropical fruit cultivation is highly potential area of Sindhuli district.As a result, the farmers employed in this sector are believed would benefit to the optimum extent.
