Abstract: The study entitled “Images of Mathematics in Koeri Castes People of Bara District was intended to find the images of mathematics in Koeri people and to compare male and female people’s view towards images of mathematics. This is a quantitative and descriptive survey design research. For this study the researcher had selected six villages of Bara district. From six villages 202 people were selected by using simple random sampling method in which 102 were students and 100 were non-students. To fulfil the objectives of this study the required primary data are collected through the questionnaire developed by George Levine (1971) and Asiala & Dubinsky (1999) for the image score of the Koeri people. The images of people providing Likert’s five points categories of rating scale and questionnaire divided into positive and negative statements. The percentage, mean and standard deviation were used as statistical tools for the analysis and interpretation of the data. The researcher used t-test at 0.05 level of significance to compare male and female people’s image towards mathematics. The study concluded that Koeri people have positive image towards mathematics and there is no significant differences between male and female Koeri people towards images of mathematics.
