This research attempts to bring forth the torments and problems imposed by the male characters on the women in Tony Kushner's Angels In America, Millennium Approaches. It also aims to change the way we perceive women characters like Harper, Hannah and Ethel who are shown to be the secondary to the male characters like Joe, Roy, Louis. With the relevance of Beauvoir's line of feminist assumptions, this research analyzes the position of female characters as the pivot and tries to overturn the perspective of reading the play to find out the real position of the women, which is its crucial objective. Besides, the study focuses on female attempts to get rid of the domination, tensions and subversions by revolting against the deep rooted oppressive mentality of the male characters. The research has a different perspective of reading the text i.e. writing from minorities' point of view which attempts to go against the mainstream. Moreover, the findings and proofs presented in this research can be a helpful source for the further study in this and other texts alike.en_US
