Abstract: The present thesis entitled A Comparative Study of Household Terms Used in Tharu and English languages identify the household terms used in Tharu and compare them with the term of use in English, convergence and divergence. I collected data from both primary and secondary sources. The sample size of the study consisted 40 Tharu native speakers to whom the questionnaires were distributed.
