Abstract: The study on the Awareness of Early Marriage and Health Problem among Married Adolescent Girls in Santhal Community of Kumarkhod VDC Jhapa' has been carried out using primary data gathered from the concerned community of Kumarkhod VDC. The study has specially aimed at finding current situation of the Santhal community in different aspects like causes of early marriage, effects of early marriage, problems and measures of early marriage. The primary information for the study was carried out through field survey by the researcher himself. There are 334 households, 100 households were sampled which were selected simple random sampling method. Out of 100 households only 100 respondents were purposively selected for this study. The information collected from the source was analyzed and interpreted in terms of demographic and socio economic characteristics of the total population. The findings are interpreted with the help of different tables and figures. The study revealed that early marriage was found 10 to 12 years 20% were got married, 35% got married between 13-15 years 25% were married between 16-18 and 20% only married after the 18 years. The study showed that 32% early married were illiterate. Agriculture and labour are the main occupation of the community 49% people said that government is responsible to eradicate early marriage, 25% people are assigning society is responsible 11% people said self behaviour and 15% people said parents are responsible to eradicate the early marriage. The overall observation of the study indicated that the early marriage still highly influenced by illiteracy, poverty, religions belief, traditional norms and values.
