Abstract: The study focused on "Students Personal Factor Affecting on Achievement in Mathematics at Lower Secondary Level "The main purpose of the study was to find out the students personal factor affecting on achievements in mathematics at lower secondary level and to compare the boys and girls perception about personal factors in mathematics achievement. This study was based on survey design. The sample of the study was 200 students out of eight lower secondary schools were selected in simple random sampling method. The tools of this study were questionnaire form. Data were collected by visiting sampled schools concerning to students and analyzed by mean weightage five point likert scales, standard deviation, percentage and t-test were used. I analyzed the information by using different theories to produce the information and draw the conclusion of the study. The study found that the parents education, taking tuition class and time spent at home in mathematics study were the main affecting personal factors of student's achievement. In such classroom teacher faced many problems while teaching mathematics. Language spoken at home, interest, parents education, home regularity, taking tuition class, peer interaction and time spent at home in mathematics study were the problem factors of students achievement. And further it was found that there was no significance difference between boys and girls perception in personal factors. The results suggest that the personal factors were most affecting factor to good achievement in mathematics.
