Abstract: This study focused on the cause of low achievement of Muslim students in mathematics. The objectives of this study were to explore the causes of low achievements in mathematics learning of Muslim students and to find mathematics learning environment of Muslim students at home. This is case study research having qualitative and descriptive nature. Among 522 schools from Banke district, for the research the researcher selected only one school purposively where Muslim students studies in the grade V-VII. From the Muslim students five were selected for the case studies on the basics of the mathematics score obtain by the students in the test taken by school. To fulfil the objectives of the this study the required primary data are collected through interview, observation of the school document, face to face interview with students' parents, mathematics teacher, and head teacher. And also classroom observation was done by descriptively according to the constructivism theory. The data was analysis by descriptive and interpretive method. This study showed that different causes of low achievement in mathematics learning of Muslim student. They were culture dominated society, parents education, parents occupation, culture custom and tradition, effect of gender in society, learning opportunity at home , teaching method, relation between teacher and students, communication gap with guardians, motivation towards students, teaching materials, facilities provided by school. This study also showed that the home environment of Muslim students to learning was not good due to the economic condition, house work parent's education and sufficient learning opportunity at home.
