Abstract: This study entitled Attitudes and Practices of Teachers towards the Use ofICT for their Professional Development.The main objectives of this research studywere to identify and analyze the attitudes and practices of the secondary level Englishteachers towards the use of ICT as a resource for theirprofessional development andto suggest some pedagogical implications. This study was based on survey researchdesign. The population of this study was all the teachers teaching to the secondary level students. Sample consisted of only forty one secondary level teachers working inTriyuga Municipality of Udayapur.Questionnaire and observation are data collectiontools and techniques. The research showed that majority of the respondents attendedonline conferences.Theypresented their views that positive attitude towardstechnology and Internet is necessary for teachers’ professional development andICTbased resources are helpful for confident development.Most of there spondents have gone through the sites i.e. jestor.com, bookfi.com, nelta.org.np, youtube.comandto collect the relevant information and resources for their professional development.It was found that secondary level English teachers of Triyuga Municipality of Udayapurdistrict found improvement in their professional development after the use of online resources via Internet. This thesis has been divided into five chapters. The first chapter deals with background of the study, statement of the problem, objective of the study, researchquestions, significance of the study, delimitations of the study and operationaldefinitions of the key terms. Whereas, second chapter incorporates the review ofrelated literature, implication of the review of the study and conceptual framework.On the other hand, the third chapter deals with the methods and procedure of thisstudy. Similarly, fourth chapter encompasses analysis and interpretation of data.Finally, fifth chapter dealswith findings, summary, conclusion and recommendations of the study. And, in the final section, references and appendices are included.
