Abstract: The present researchstudy entitledPracticesofUsing Library forSelf-Learningaimed to find out students’practicesof usingandtheirviewstowards library. To meet the objectives of this researchstudy,Ipurposivelyselected 50 higher secondarylevel students from5differenthigher secondaryschoolsofRukum district. Judgemental sampling procedure was used tosample the population. Under the tools of data collection,questionnairewasused.The responses givenby students on different issues oflibrarywerecritically analyzedand interpreted using both qualitative and quantitativeapproach. The findings of thisstudy showed that studentshave positiveviewtowardslibrary. Library really promotes students’ self-learninghabitandlinguistic knowledge as well as developsfour language skills and three aspectsoflanguage. This thesis has been organized into five chapters. The first chapter deals withthe general background of the topic, statement of the problem, rationale of thestudy, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study,delimitations of the study and operational definition of the key terms. Thesecond chapter includes review of related theoretical literature, review ofrelated empirical literature, implication of the review for the study andconceptual framework. The third chapter covers all the areas of methodology.Likewise, the fourth chapter presents the results and discussion. In the resultsection, result of the study is presented. The fifth chapter includes summary,conclusion and implications at three different levels
