The present research is an attempt to analyze the different aspects in the construction of masculinity and more specifically the role of economy in the construction of masculinity in late capitalism or present economic pattern. This is an attempt to analyze how the old notions of body located masculinity which was based on the notion of muscular body and courage has been replaced by economic power as a defining term. ‘Masculinity studies’ in connection to economy has been applied as a methodological tool to evaluate the role of money in construction of masculinity of the characters and their masculinity crisis in absence of money power.en_US
