Abstract: The present study was conducted to investigate the use of mobile phone for learning English and explore the challenges faced by the students while using mobile phone. To meet the objectives of this study, the researcher adopted descriptive research design to carry out this research work. The population of this research included all the Bachelor level students of English Education of Drabya Shah Multiple Campus, Gorkha. Among them, five students were selected as a sample for the study by using convenience sampling. The researcher conducted telephone interview to elicit the required data. The data were analyzed by using themes. From the analysis and interpretation of the data, it was found that students use of mobile phone for learning English despite its limitations. Students responded positively towards its use for English language learning. They further opined that using mobile phone for learning purpose is not free from some challenges and limitations. Some of them are poor internet connection with expensive data charge, limited processing power, small screen and operating skills. The present study consists of five chapters. The first chapter deals with the background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study, delimitations of the study and definitions of the key terms. The second chapter consists of review of related theoretical literature, review of empirical literature, implications of the review for the study and conceptual framework. Similarly, the third chapter deals with methods and procedures of the study which covers design, population, sample and sampling strategy, research tools, sources of data, data collection procedures, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. In the same way, the fourth chapter deals with analysis and interpretation of data. Finally, the fifth chapter incorporates the findings and conclusion of the study followed by some policy, practice and further research related recommendations based on the study. At the end, references and appendices have been included.
