dc.description.abstractResearch is a Systematic and organization efforts to investigate a specific problem that needs a solution. Research as an organized, Systematic data based critical, scientific inquiry or investigation into a specific problem, undertaken with the objective of finding answer or solution to it. Ethnographically, an ethnographic study is the scientific description of races and cultures. The very term and concept develops form the Greek “ethnikos”, the objectives of ethnos, which refers to a people or nation. In a nutshell, ethnographic study, then, studies the salient features of a group that regards itself as in some sense (usually many senses) distinct. Once the consciousness of being part of an ethnic group is created, it takes on a self – perpetuating quality and is passed on generation to the next. Distinct language, religious beliefs political institutions etc, become part of the ethnic baggage and children are reared to accept to all these as part of their lives. This study is an attempt to prepare the ethnographic profile of Satar community on the basis of their indigenous knowledge, life cycle ceremonies, religion, festivals, health, migration, social services, education, economic condition of Satar community in Garamani village development committee ward No 1,2,3,4,5 or 9 Jhapa district. It also makes some recommendation for improving their ethnographic profile and socio-economic status on the basis of their indigenous knowledge, religion, festivals, migration, social services and economic condition. The data are collected by field observation, questionnaire, Key Informant Interview, household survey etc. The presentation, tabulation and other findings during the research are, presented in the different chapter that prove the Anthropological Ethnographic status of Satar people especially at Garamani of Jhapa district.en_US
