Abstract: The research work titled Factors Influencing of English Language Learning among Limbu-Speaking Students aimed to identify and analyze the factors influencing the learning of the English language among Limbu-speaking students. A qualitative method research design was used in this study. The survey research design was employed, and participants were selected using non-random sampling strategy. The study utilized both primary and secondary sources of data. Sixty Limbu students were selected from six secondary schools from Taplejung district, specially from the Meringden rural municipality, for primary data collection. A set of questionnaire containing closed-ended and open-ended questions was used as a tool for data collection. The major findings of the study indicated that Limbu-speaking students exhibited significant challenges in learning the English language, leading to high failure rates in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). Thus, the study sheds light on the challenges faced by Limbu-speaking students in acquiring proficiency in the English language. The identified influencing factors can be instrumental in developing targeted pedagogical interventions to enhance English language learning outcomes among this specific student population. This thesis comprises five main chapters. The first chapter introduces the topic, providing the background of the study, statement of the problem, objectives of the study, research questions, significance of the study, and delimitations of the study. The second chapter includes a review of the theoretical and empirical literature, along with implications for the study and the conceptual framework. The third chapter outlines the methods and procedures of the study, covering the design and method, population, sampling procedure, data collection tools, data analysis and interpretation, and ethical considerations. The fourth chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the results. Finally, the fifth chapter includes conclusions and implications related to policy, practice, and further research, followed by references and appendices.
