Abstract: | This research entitled “Tragic Optimism in Man’s Search for Meaning” explores the significance of hope in utmost painful state in life.Frankl faces a lot of troubles in Holocaust period because Hitler had ordered all Jews to be killed. Being a real victim of Holocaust, Frankl had hard in continues his life, but he survived.Frankl takes hope as a weapon to come out from the situation. Frankl views that life holds a potential meaning under every situations even the most miserable conditions too. In Holocaust period Jews faced several tortures by Nazis and they commit suicide. Frankl learns the truth that most of the Jews died day by day not only the lack of food or medicine but also the lack of hope in their inner soul. Frankl believes that hope as the best method to fight against harsh situation. |
