Theresearch entitled "Stereotypical Representation of Women in the Magar'sSōrathǐ" is based onSōrathǐsong, which is a part of the Magar culture. TheSōrathǐsong has been analyzed from the feminist perspective. The research explores how theSōrathǐsong isreplete with stereotypical images of women. Hemanti, the main female protagonist, is portrayed as emotional, beautiful, patient and passive. Similarly, other female characters, Kumalni and Sorathi, are also portrayed in the same manner. It shows that theSōrathǐsongs are the products of the patriarchal Magar community.en_US
