Abstract: Present research work entitledKnowledge and Attitude on STIs and HIV/AIDS:ACase Study of Primary School Teachers in Tamsariya VDC, Nawalparasi isbased on the primary data collected from 91 respondents including 48 male and 43female teachers. All the respondentshaveheard about contraceptive means, STIs andHIV/AIDS. Out of different sources of information radio and television remainedoutstanding sources for dissemination. Respondents said the condom is easilyavailable and pharmacy is the easy location to get condom. Most of the respondentsare known about gonorrhoea. Most of the respondents replied that unprotected sexualintercourse is the major cause for transmission of STIs and HIV/AIDS. Majority ofrespondents said that avoiding multiple sex partner and using condom are thepreventive measures for STIs and HIV/AIDS. Majority of respondents stronglyagreed to have their influential role to spread knowledge about STIs and HIV/AIDSinthe community. Most of the respondents irrespective of their sex have denied the pre-martial sex.There is no significant difference between male and female teachers inacquiring knowledge about STIs and HIV/AIDS.
