Abstract: Although there is long time interval between Pope and Eliot, both the writers are of same critical trend. Pope was the most celebrated social critic ofneo-classical erawho used imagery and satire as his main weaponsto criticize social disparity. Eliot also used same weapons to criticize social disparity.Both of them focus upon the correctness of the society using different images through the tone of satire.The onlydifferencethatlies between themis that oftime period. In this manner,we can say Eliot is the Pope of modernist era.
