Abstract: Nepal is one of the poorest country in term of economy but veryrich in terms of caste, language, culture, traditional and naturalresources. Badhaes are one of the caste settled mainly Terai region in thecountry. In the division of caste on the basis of higher to lower caste levelBadhae caste seems neither in the rank of higher nor in the lower castebut very near to the higher rank. According to CBS data 2002, 23 percentof Urban and 44 percent of rural people are below the poverty line. ManyBadhae people live in rural areas so Badhae caste also lies in povertyclass. There are so many research reports, news articles and books aboutother castes but no research of any kind about Badhae Caste has beendone yet. Therefore, this case study on the Badhae Caste of Giddha VDC of Dhanusha district is new reports about Badhae Caste. It is hoped that this study Socio-economic condition of Badhae can be an important work. Thus, attempt will serve as a valuable do cumentnow and in future to formulate policies, strategies, programmers and projects for the up liftment of the status of Badhae to achieve the objectives of equality and development.
