In this thesis, study and analysis of one of the parameters i.e. the transmissionopportunity (TXOP) mechanism described in the IEEE 802.11e supplement has beendone. The constantvalue of TXOP is replaced by dynamic value which is derived fromthe formula consisting of total number of packets transferred and total collided packetstill that instance. In this thesis the performance of the wireless LAN using proposeddynamic value of TXOP is evaluated in NS2 simulator. The results are compared ingraphs which are calculated in terms of throughput, latency and packet loss underdifferent network scenarios.en_US
