dc.description.abstractThis research attempts to find out the 'Effectiveness of Strip-Storyin Teaching Reading Comprehension. For this purpose, the researcherselected the students of grade IX of NewVision English High School,Pharsatikar, Rupandehi. The researcher collected data from the sampledpopulation of thirty- two students of the same school. The students weregiven pre-test and post-test using the test items designed. Thepost testwas administered after twenty - two days teaching using strip storytechnique to group A (Experimental) and without for group 'B'(Controlled). Their scores were tabulated and analyzed items of averagedifference and its percentage. Two results (pre-test and post test) of thetwo groups (experimental and controlled) were compared to find out theeffectiveness ofstrip story technique. It is concluded from the study that strip story has positive effect inteaching reading comprehension since group 'A' has increased its averagepercentage with (15.42) against group 'B' which has increased itsaveragepercentage with6.81. The first chapter consists of general background, review of relatedliterature, objectives of the study and significance of the study. Chapter two consists of methodology of the study. It encompassesthe sources of data, population of the study, sampling procedure tools fordata collection and limitations of the study. Chapter three consists of the analysis and interpretation of thecollected data. The data were tabulated and analyzed on the basis of thetest items. Chapter four consists of the major findings and recommendationmade after the analysis of the data which follows references andappendices.en_US
