dc.description.abstract | This research study attempts to find out the role of classroom management for effectiveEnglish language teaching. This study accounts for the condition of classroommanagement in lower secondary and secondary level classes. For this purpose, Icollected data in which total sample population of the study was selected 80 studentsusing random sampling procedure and 16 teachers were selected per level. I developeda checklist and questionnaire, collected the data which were analyzed descriptively.This study found that the condition of classroom management was satisfactory i.e. notso good not so bad. It was also found that Private schools were better in classroommanagement in both physical and teaching aspects rather than public ones. If thepresent status of classroom management is supported properly, students may achievebetter in their studies. This study consists of four chapters. Chapter one deals with the introduction to theresearch whichincluded general background, review of the related literature,objectives of the study, significance of the study and definition of the related terms.Chapter two discusses the methodology adopted for the study in terms of sources ofdata, sample population and sampling procedure, tools for data collation, process ofdata collection and limitations of the study. Analysis and interpretation of the data aregiven in chapter three. The analysis is presented using three criteria viz. identificationof classroommanagement condition, interpretation of classroom observation, analysisand interpretation from open-ended questionnaire. The thesis concludes with majorfindings and recommendations in chapter four and ends with references andappendices. | en_US |
