Item Impacts of socio-Economic Status of womenon Their Decision Making (A Case Study of Tirhut Rural Municipality,Saptari)(Faculty of Education, 2019) Yadav, Ram ChandraThis study was conducted with the title ofimpactsofsocio-economic status ofwomen on their decision making on Tirhut Rula Municipality Diman Village,Saptari district. The mainobjectivesofthe study were to fined out of tostudywomen's participationincommunity groups and income generally activitiessocio-economic status of women.the studywas 180 housholds in tirhut ruralmunicipality Diman village( ward no.4). Interview schedule was used as the tolfor data collection. Descriptive research design was followed to complete thestudy. Village/ward was selected purposefully and sample was selected byusing sample random sampling method. According to the study, it was found that31.1 percent respondentsareuneducated/illiterateonly41.1 percentrespondentsaregotlowereducation.All most all therespondentshave. It was alsofoundthatalmostall the respondents visited door to door. All mostall the respondents haveinformation about householdsperson'sonlyfewwomen havelandownershipin small size and houseownership. Only very fewwomen have propertyrights. It was also found that mostwomen areunemployed. In spite of theirunemployment, they are quitebusyin theirhousehold activities and agriculture.There isalsowomen's participationindevelopmentcommitteesespecially inwomen'squotasbut theyare not provided important role to work for thesociety.the role ofwomenindecision making is highly remarkable.Despitetheir active role and involvement in decisionmaking, the can notdecide themselveson marriage ceremonyand selling and purchasing land and house. Impression, In fact, Income, employment,educationage,familystructure andmarital status are the influential factorsofdecisionmaking.
