Item Facilities And Practices Of Health Services In Government Schools(Faculty Of Health Education, 2020) Gautam, BijayThe present study entitled Practices and Facilities of School Health Services in Sundarharaincha Muncipality Government School has been conducted to point out the Appraisal, Preventive and Remedial aspects of School Health Services practices and facilities in government school. Sundarharaincha Muncipality was selected for the study purpose. The purposive and convenience sampling method were used to sample the respondent to collect essential data. Collected data were described by descriptive, qualitative and quantitative research design. According to the study, only 7% school have good playground, 81% schools don’t have appropriate ventilation and window,only 7% schools have good condition oftoilets and 76% have soap in toilet, 65% have appropriate furniture, 60.5% schoolsuse tap as sources of water but none of them purify water before drinking. About 51%schools have enough dustbin and only 51% schools sanitation is good, 81.5% schools use burning method to manage waste. About 35% schools do health observation, 14% do screening test and only 7% do health examination. Only 2% school have school clinic facilities, 7% have separate treatment room, 2% have health specialist, 14% schools conduct health campaign and only 21% have essential drugs. All schools provide knowledge about disease and safety measures but only 46.5% have used safety measures at school, only 28%follow up infected students, 84% have first aid facilities. All schools provide healthguidance and councelling facilities and refer to hospital in an emergency, only 37%schools have exceptional child but only 6.25% have separate room for exceptional child. The above fact shows that most of the school existing condition, appraisal aspects,preventive aspects and remedial aspects is poor. Due to this the students are facing different problem in health as well as in teaching learning activities. Hence it is very necessary to focus on school health services for betterment and all round development of students and future of country. Hence to overcome this situation government, local government as well as school administration should work on S.H.S and provide knowledge on it through different seminar, workshop and training to teachers and implement School Health Program effectively.Item Knowledge, Attitude & Practice of Maternal and Child Health Service in Sardar Community in Kaptanganj Vdc, Sunsari District(Faculty of Education, 2011-08) Gupta, Amarendra KumarThis is a field based study which is conducted to find out the KAP of maternal and child health services in Sardar community in Kaptanganj VDC, Sunsari District. This study was mainly based on primary data and secondary data was also applied for study. Whole information was based upon the answer of respondent. The data was collected through structured interview schedule. Data were carefully checked and analyzed manually. Information was analyzed according to the stated objectives and the nature of obtained data. There were 65 respondents they were all married women of age group 15-45 years and at least one under five years child. It was found the literacy percent (over 5 years) of the house hold was 31.87% and illiteracy percent was 68.13% similarly among the respondents 16.92% was literate and 83.07% was illiterate. Thus the educational status of Sardar community was not good. Similarly 27.69% respondents have got their first delivery at the age of 15-18, which is also not good. For this time many high risk bring life threating her. 27.69% respondents had not taken additions foods in pregnancy period. 15.38% respondents have not knowledge about how many times should be checked up in pregnancy period. More that 23% respondents didn't immunize their children completely. The over all study showed the situation of KAP of maternal and child health services was not very good but not very bad. Only some effort can easily improve the trend. So, this community need the reproductive health education, formal and non- formal educationItem Removal of Users Fee and Utilization of Health Services in Rapakot VDC Syangja(Faculty of Sociology, 2014) Poudel, PrakashThis"Removal of Users Fee and Utilization of Health Services in Rapakot VDC Syangja" is mainly based on primary data collection from ward no.5 and 9 of Rapakot VDC. The data were obtained through semi-structured interview and field observation. By using purposive sampling altogether 128 respondents from both wards were taken for this research purpose.The main priority was given respondent from families who have recently visited sub-health post for health service.The main objectives of the study are to assess the access and quality of health care services delivered by sub-health post after user fee removal in Rapakot VDC. The data shows that study area is ethnically diversified.Education status of the study area is satisfactory. In relation to family structure both nuclear and joint types of families were found there. Most of the respondents are aware about free health services delivered from sub-health post but there are still few respondents who were unaware of this facility.Majority of the respondents were satisfied with the services but a remarkable percentage (40%) of the respondents were not satisfied from the health services of sub-health post. There was significant variation between two wards (5 and 9) in terms of receiving services from sub-health post. In general, 39.1 percentages report sub-health post as first choice of health facility for the treatment.But there were only few (3.2%) from ward no 5 whereas most(73.8%) of the respondents from ward number 9 go to sub-health post as their first choice of health facility. Distance was found as the main factor for this variation. Regardless of the removal of the user fees, factors like distance, lack of good medicine and proper counseling and lack of qualified service provider affected the utilization of the services in the sub-health post in Rapakot. These need to be addressed to increase utilization.Respondents’ views were largely positive about the quality of the services such as drug availability and behavior of health worker.But observation showed hygiene and sanitary condition, waiting area, communication of service provider and users were the remarkable quality issues in the sub health post. These factors also affect the utilization of the healthcare services the study area.
