Item Students’ Perception on The Use of Online Resources(Department of English Education, 2015) Dahal, SamirThe present study is entitled “Students’ Perception on the Use of Online-Resources”.The main objective of this research was to find out the students’perception on the use of online resources in terms of (Websites, G-mail, E-book, Blogs and face book).Forty students from four +2 colleges were selected using non-random judge mental sampling procedure. They were given questionnaire for data collection. I analyzed and interpreted data collected through questionnaires by using simple statistical tools to present the result.The major finding of the study was that majority of the students have positive perception on the use of online resources. Out of 40 students, 32 i.e.80%students preferred online resources apart from the textbook for their academic development. This research work consists of five chapters.Chapter one is an introductory one which includes general background,statement of the problems, objectives,research questions,significance of the study, delimitations of the study and operational definition of the key terms. Chapter two is are view of related literature and conceptual framework. It includes review of theoretical literature,empirical literature, implication and conceptual framework. Chapter three deal with methodology which includes the design and method of the study,population,sample and sampling strategy, tools and process of data collection.Chapter four consists of analysis and interpretation of data and Findings.Chapter five consists of conclusion and recommendations of the study which is followed by references and appendices.Item Use of World Wide Web for Learning English(Department of English Education, 2015) Phuyal, AnjanaThis research work entitled "Use of World Wide Web for Learning English"has been carried out to find out the extent to which the students of class twelve from four different colleges of Kathmandu Valley use WWW for learning English and to find out the nature and variation use by the students of four colleges. I used both primary and secondary sources of data. In this study twenty students from each college who were using internet and web were selected using non-random judgemental sampling procedure. They were given thirty-five questions for data collection. The secondary sources of data were various books, journals, articles taken from internet and web related topics from different websites related to the study. I analyzed and interpreted data collected through questionnaire using simple statistical tools. The study showsthat majority of students from four colleges use internet and web for learning English language and also use web as an effective learning tool. This thesis consists to four chapters. Chapter one deals with introduction to WWW, growth of WWW, Web organizations Commercialization of theWWW, web and internet, online resources and CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning). It further includes the review of related literature,objectives of the study and significance of the study. Chapter Two deals with the procedures adopted to carry out the research. It contains the information on the sources of data, sampling procedure, tools, process of data collection and limitations of the study. Chapter Three consists of the analysis and interpretation of data collected through questionnaire. Chapter four deals with the major findings of the study on the basis of analysis and interpretation of the data. It also deals with some recommendations made on the basis of findings of the study. Finally, Chapter four is followed by the references and appendices.
