Abstract: The purpose of this study was to know the trend and investment pattern of selected non-life insurance companies in Nepal. This study aims to examine the association between premium collection and investment pattern of selected non-life insurance companies. A descriptive, analytical and comparative research design are used for this research. Two companies are selected randomly as a sample. Also the study tried to assess the companies’ ten years data i.e. from 2009/2010-2018/2019. Various tools used for data analysis are mean, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, correlation etc. The data are collected from the various years’ annual report of selected non-life insurance companies. The findings shows that non-life insurance companies collected highest premium in motor and fire insurance. The trend of premium collection and investment is increasing. However, the pace is increasing gradually only. Higher premium collected by insurance companies results in higher investment in different sectors and more investment results in more investment return.
