Abstract: This study entitled 'Communication Strategies Used by Nepalese EFL Learners'tries to find out the communication strategies used by the students in the classroom. The study was carried out by using survey research design .There were selected two schools, public and private both as the study field from Lamjung district and twenty students from each school were selected as thesample population who were selected randomly with fish bowl technique. Thetools to collect the data wereobservation from checklist and close end edquestionnaire. This study entitled 'Communication Strategies Used by Nepalese EFL Learners' had tried to find out the communication strategies used by the students in the classroom in comparative way between the students of private and public schools. On completion of the analysis and interpretation of the data, there was found that students from both schools used the same number ofstrategies but in vast different frequency. This study consists altogether five chapters as Introduction, Review of Related Literature and Conceptual Framework, Methods and Procedures of the study,Analysis and Interpretation of the Result and Conclusions and Recommendations. Different sub headings are presented under each chapter .References and appendices are givenat the end. First chapter includes sevensub headings asbackground of the study, statement of the problem, objectives,research questions, significance ofthe study etc. Second chapter includes the review of the related past studies and the conceptual framework of the study with four sub headings.Similarly,third chapter talks about the methods and the procedures of the study within six sub chapters. Fifth chapter talks about the analysis and interpretation of the data and the summary and findings. At last,fifth chapter moves round on recommendations and conclusions.
