Attitudes of People Towards Teachers's Guide for Grade XII English

Abstract

This study entitled"Attitudes of People Towards Teachers's Guide for Grade XII English"aim sat exploring the use of Teacher's Guide to teach English in higher secondary schools of Dailekh district and at finding out the attitudes of English teachers and principals towards the Teacher's Guide for the same grade.For the study,thirty higher secondary schools were randomly selected through fish bowl drawing technique,and thirty principals and fifty English teachers of those schools were non-randomly selected purposively for the study. Two different sets of questionnaires were distributed to the English teachers and principal sat their convenient time and places by the researcher in order to elicit the data.The collected data were tabulated and analysed statistically and descriptively.The findings of the study have shown that the Teacher's Guide is a useful teaching material for teaching the English language. All the principals and the English teachers have positive attitudes towards it. So, it seems to be equally used in the majority of the higher secondary schools of Dailekh district to a great extent. The study includes four chapters. Among them, the first introductory chapter deals with the theoretical background of the study,the review of the related literature, objectives of the study and significance of the study.Thesecondchapterincludes the methodology used to achieve the objectives of the study.Similarly, the third chapter presents the analysis and interpretation of the data in detail. At last the fourth chapter sheds light on findings and recommendations of the study.
