Abstract: This research entitled "Perception and Practices of e-resources in ELT by Novice and Experienced Teachers at Government aided schools in the Kathmandu District".I used both primary and secondary sources of data in this study. I purposively selected twenty secondary schools and forty secondary level novice and experienced English teachers from Kathmandu district using non random judgmental sampling procedure. After developing rapport,questionnaire for data collection were given. The secondary sources of data such as:books, journals and internet were used in the study. I analyzed and interpreted data collected through questionnaire by using simple statistical tools to present the result. Regarding the access to e-resources of teachers,they used audio/video conferencing, computer,mobile phone, google and e-mail sometimes. The major findings of the study was that 36.25%novice teachers out of 100% and 31% experienced teachers out of 100% practiced in the use of different e-resources in ELT and 63.75% novice and 69%experienced teachers out of 100% did not practice in the use of different e-resources in ELT process.The perception of novice and experienced teachers towards the use of e-resources in ELT in their own words"e-resources are important because it helps the teachers to teach authentic, updated knowledge as well as helps the teachers to motivate their students towards the teaching learning activities." This thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter one deals with introduction of use of e-resources and background and context, statement of the problems,rationale of the study, objective of the study, research questions or hypothesis,significance of the study, delimitations of the study, operational definition of the key terms. Chapter two deals with the review of the related literature,implication of the study, and theoretical and conceptual framework, Chapter three deals with design of the study, population of the study, sampling procedure, data/information collection tools, data/information collection procedures, and data analysis and interpretation through questionnaire which x were presented qualitatively in a narrative way with description and quantitative data were analyzed with the help of appropriate statistical tool sand table. Chapter four includes results, and discussion/interpretation of the data. Chapter five deals with summary, conclusion, implications.It also further deals with some recommendations stimulated on the basis of the findings derived, and pedagogical implications are also suggested.Similarly, this section also includes how this study is applicable in the policy level, practice level and other further research.
