Abstract: In ancient time, people used to move from one area to another with the aim of security and to search of agrarian land but in modern era people primarily move in order to achieve economic welfare. This study includes 165 family samples of in-migrants currently living in Sunawal Aadarsha VDC by purposive sampling method. In this study, causes and consequences of in-migrants especially their origin place and destination place is compared. The needed information for this study was collected through interview by using one set of questionnaire. The main objectives of this study are as followed: a. To study the trend of In-Migration in the study area b. To identify the socio-economic status of the migrants c. To analyze the causes and consequences of In-Migration in the study area This study has conceptualized migration as a part of unknown ultimate satisfaction. To present of dissatisfaction at the living condition of the migrants, the purposive sampling method was used to select all households from the study area. Pie charts, graphs, frequency tables, cross tables have included to analysis the data from the collected information. Among 165 households of 58.2 percent is Hindu which is highest percentage then other religions. Similarly, out of total population, 51.35 percent are males and 48.65 percent are females. Availability of physical and socio-economic opportunity and higher opportunity of the job as well as better education are the main reason for in-migration. Most of the migrants came to Sunawal Aadarsha VDC by on their decision and their common decision of close relatives.
