Abstract: This research paper attempts to present the theme of ‘the manifestation of postmodernism on Nepali popular music’. It has discussed the present condition of Nepali popular music from the postmodern perspective. Besides, it has simply presented Nepali music from the ancient period to present era. To manifest postmodernism, it has interpreted popular music which includes pop, rock, hip-hop, and metal. All the interpreted songs are taken from a popular Nepali music related website i.e.'www. npsongs. com' and the songs are chosen randomly. The intention is to showa range of possible themes and styles for postmodern expression in Nepali popular music. In the interpretation and closely examining the postmodern idea, it has presented that the Nepali popular music is influenced mostly from the Western, Indian, Afro-American and Middle East music. Nepali popular music has not encompassed the postmodern ideas fully yet, rather some of the features of postmodernism it has adopted. Overall, it has created a platform for the discussion of postmodernism in Nepali popular music.
