Abstract: | This research deals with H. G. Well's novel The Invisible Man focusing on the issue of how the writer's unfulfilled desire is projected through the character Griffin. Besides, this research brings into analysis the tension between the invisible character, Griffin and the society along with the character's love for terror. In the course of the examination, the research reaches the conclusion that the invisible character is the outcome of the daydreaming of the writer and the projection of human unconscious with the help of the psychoanalytical insights of Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan. |
