Abstract: | This study investigates the impact of training and development on performance of employees in Nepalese development banks. The study has employed descriptive and casual research design. This study used descriptive statistic, correlation analysis and regression analysis to analyze the data. This study reveals that the mean score value of training content is the highest mean score value compared to the other elements such as training need assessment and training method. This indicates that training content is the dominant element in this study and the majority of the respondents agreed that training content is the factor highly affects employee performance of development banks in Nepal. The correlation analysis shows that training need assessment has significant positive relationship with employee performance of development banks in Nepal. At the meantime, training method has significant positive relationship with employee performance of development banks in Nepal. Moreover, training content has significant positive relationship with employee performance in Nepalese development banks. The multiple regression analysis concluded that training need assessment has significant positive effect on employee performance in Nepalese development banks. Likewise, training method has significant positive impact on employee performance of development banks in Nepal. Finally, training content has significant positive impact on employee performance in Nepalese development banks. Therefore, training and development has strong impact on employee performance of development banks in Nepal.
