So, this study accounts for the secondary level students, particularly grade ten and the role of the English exposure in both reading comprehension and writing proficiency out of school environment. These tests were administered to the above mentioned population. In reading comprehension test, one model text was selected and in writing proficiency test a particular topic was given to them and to answer the given questions within the fixed time. The raw scores were listed and tabulated on the basis of variables specified. This study revealed that the result of reading comprehension test of grade ten students of public schools is found good on the basis of given exposure. But the writing proficiency of the some students is found poor. It means they have better result in reading comprehension than the writing one.
