Abstract: The research entitled ‘Content Validity of Question Papers ofEnglish for Mass Media’ is an attempt to evaluate thequestion papers ofB.Ed. 3 rd year, from the years 2058 to 2062 prepared by the Controllerof Examination, T.U.The main objective of this research study was toexamine the content validity ofquestion papers ofEnglish for Mass Media.For thispurpose, theresearcher analyzedfiveyears’question papers from2058 to2062 of thesubject in question.Only secondary sources of datawere used in this study.Thequestion papers of English for Mass Media(From2058 to2062) administeredin T.U.exams werethemainsources ofinformation. The researcherused twoparameters:‘Coverage’ and ‘Weightage’.Test contents were compared with course contents in terms of coverage.Similarly, test contentsandweightage were compared with coursecontentsandweightage.After analyzing the question papers as a whole, it wasfoundthat thequestion papers ofEnglish for Mass Mediaof B.Ed. 3 yearshowhigh content validity in terms of coverage but low content validity interms of weightage. Thisstudyis divided intofourchapters. The first chapter dealswiththe introduction consisting of general background, language testing,different types of tests, characteristics of tests,review of related literature,objectivesand significanceof the study and definition of specificterms. Chapter two includes methodology, comprising sources of data,sampling process of data collection and limitationsofthe study. Chapter three consists of analysis and interpretationof the data. Itwasdonein terms of text wise coverage,anditemwiseanalysis of the testpapers. Chapter four deals with findingsand recommendationsof the study. rd
