Abstract: Most of the women are far from education. In the national figure, the literacy rate of female was 42.8% whereas male was 65.5%. In recent time state also focus on women education. The literacy rate of under development country is still low. Nepali women were backward to some extent both in rural and urban areas. Education help the world to meet future challenges. Education helps to mobilize and empower people with the knowledge and skills to participate more actively, democratically and collectively in the development process. Participation of women student in (+2) is still low. Socio-cultural values, norms and attitude which are not in favour of women student participation in every field. This thesis entitled "women participation in +2 education. A study of women student in Kaski district" is a descriptive as well as exploratory and analytically research design carried in order to see the status of women student, cause for select +2, facing the problem in +2 education participation. Out of 38 H.S.S. 33% i.e. 13 HSS were taken as the sample by using simple random sampling. On the other hand, among woman student of sampled HSS 40 women student taken from 13 HSS by using simple random sampling method. In the process of choosing K.I. by using purposively sampling method. The tools and techniques of data collection are structured questionnaire, school and student survey and key informant interview. For analysis data, using simple statistical tool. The findings of the study reveals that, number of women student is increasing but the percentage is remained same. Majority of students dropout and minority of students do not. The average age structure of +2 student is 17 years. Majority of student are pursuing (+2) education for better social status and getting better job. Increase women student participation in (+2), (+2) give scholarship, give emphasis and encouragement,special quota for female student. Most of the respondents parent, occupation is agriculture and some of have business and service. The educational level of parents is not satisfactory because the literacy rate of women is low and it prefers that children are also illiterate. 31 (77.50%) respondents mother are under S.L.C. whereas 10 (25%)respondents father are under S.L.C.. In higher education qualification rate of father is high but mother is least. Likewise, 18 (45.0%) the women student are also do not attain(+2) after pass the S.L.C. Average fee structure of per student per month is Rs.687.5/-. The main economic source of sampled HSS is fee collection. Average time taken to reach HSS is 30.27 minute from home and vice-versa. consequently, women student facing the problem Neglect, Humiliation from male student but high number of student do not face any problem. Likewise, the women student facing the obstacle socio-Cultural, Economic,Geographic etc. Career plan after complete this study is (52.50%) reply for continuous further study, 3 (7.50%) reply for becoming a house wife. Only 6 (15%) reply that their career plan is to become social worker. In this way, create awareness for women.
