Abstract: | The research paper focuses on the personal trauma which is brought by September 11 terrorists’ attack. The text represents the psychic disorder and troubled life through the portrayal ofcharacters and their way of coping with the situation through the process of acting out and working through. In order to prove the research paper, the ideas of Dominick LaCapra, Kali Tal and Cathy Caruth are used as the theoretical tools. The significance of the study is to show how the particular incident affects the psychology of the characters and how they try to cope with the situation. Hence, the research concludes how the survivors act out to forget the traumatic situation through different creative works. |
