Abstract: | Metafiction is postmodern literary form against realism and modernism. Many writers use it for their different experimental purposes. Barth uses Metafiction to refute traditional representation and historiography. He believespast events consist of multiple chaotic fragments which are generalized by the historians so as to construct a coherent and totalized history. However, Barth uses metafiction to affirm the celebration of fragments. |
