Effectiveness of Cooperative Language Learning in Teaching Creative Writing

Abstract

This research study entitled "Effectiveness of Cooperative Language Learningin Teaching Creative Writing" was an attempt to find out the effectiveness ofcooperative language learning in teaching creative writing and aims to listsome pedagogical implications. The study was conducted in Bal Sansar EnglishSchool, Siraha. The students of class ten were purposively selected as thesample of the study. A pre-test was administered before starting teaching. Thestudents were taught for a month using cooperative language learning method.Three progress tests were administered during the course of teaching. Finally, apost-test was administered to determine the students' creative writingproficiency. And altogether five testswere administeredandscores werecompared with each other. The data were analyzed using statistical tools likeaverage, percentage, mean and presented using paraorthographicalmodesliketables. After interpretation and analysis of data, it was found that thecooperative language learning method was effective in teaching creativewriting at secondary level. The thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter deals with general background,review of the related literature, objectives and significance of the study. The second chapter deals with the methodology under which sources of data, sampling procedure, research tools, process of data collection and limitations of the study have been included. Similarly, the third chapter deals with the analysis and interpretation of data. The fourth chapter consists of the findings and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data.References and appendices are attached at the end.
