Intertextuality in X men and Krish 3

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify how the Bollywood filmKrish-3 and HollywoodX-Menare connected intertextually.Kristeva and Barthe have provided tool of intertextualityto construct about the meaning of particular text in relation to other texts. The vivid manifestation of the themes from a text vis-à-vis society, history and the relation between power and discourse could build the holistic theme by taking many texts into the same frame of reference i.e.title, scene, character and story lineKrish-3andX-Menare super hero films.Thematically, both the films create the same impressionresembling the story line, visual effects and cinematography.The core concern of this research is to show how the two different movies have got intertexual significance in the age of rapid digitization.In these two films, numbers of mutants arebeing begottenby blending the DNA of animals and human beings—they are call sub-human being. Due to the misuse of power and innovative ideas, they go against their own creatures. It is being driven from the both plotsthat the scientific idea and innovation are to be used for the betterment of humanity not fordestruction.
