The present dissertation attempts to analyze the novel Where Angels Fear to Tread by E.M. Forster from the theoretical perspective of ideological interpellation. It basically focuses upon the clash of people who have been interpellated in different realms of ideology. It is argued that ideology reflects the material condition of the interpellated subject. However, under the capitalist ideology, they fail to appropriate the world as it is and the characters’ ideology compels them to eulogize the reality, it results in their downfall.en_US
