Drug abuse and its effect on adolescents health in chhabish area of Bajhang district

Abstract

This these is entitled Drugs Abuse and Its Effects on Adolescent Health in Chhabish Area Bajhang District was based on primary data. The study area was lawda based on ward no.6/7. The main objectives of the study was to find out the situational of drugs abuser and its effects, there situational and responsible factor of drugs abuse on adolescents of Chhabish area of Bajhang districts. To achieve above mentioned objective primary data was collections through interview schedule and questioners. After collecting the data analysis and interpretations were prepared by using simple statically method as frequency count and percentage distributions. The study found that high number of abuser were (19-20) years. Most of the respondents started using drugs at the age of 14 years.It was found that most of the respondents used multiple mode of administer as sniffing injections smoking, oral etc. most of the them prefer cannabis/ ganja. They expected freedom, more love, co-operation and co-operative program from family, community and service center. They wanted to overcome from drug abuse and want drug free life. Respondents were affected socially, mentally, physically and economically. They been victim of disease among of them STD, weight loss, of sleep, diarrhea were considerable. It is happened most of them were taking same syringe, improper time of takings foods. Facing many health problem negligence from family and society were major effects causes by drugs abuse.It is clears that to prevent drug abuser from drug and addicts proper care guidance, suggestions, love, care, co-operative, educations awareness program is necessary, effects law and supportive, programs should be implemented by government and other related NGOs and INGOs and should pay attentions towards this problem. In this regard activities conducted for preventions, counselling and rehabilitations from rehabilitations center and outreach service clinic are appreciable in controlling drug abuse.
