dc.description.abstractThe present research project entitled "Critique of Human Violation of the Nature"in White Fang focuses on anthropocentric notion of human beings. The study is especially concerned with the ecological awareness. This thesis mainly attempts to measure the relationship between ecology and human. After a meticulous study of the novel, in the light of ecocriticism, the researcher comes to know that the animalistic behavior of human beings. Jack London questions human ill- treatment of nature by projecting the White Fang as the character. The extraction of White Fang from the nature brings ecological crisis. The novelist explores the consumerist culture where people make slave to animals and use as means of transportation.Animals are domesticated for security and entertainment. White Fang ironizes the so called human civilization. This thesis makes us aware that the ecology and human relationship should be balanced. In the absence of one, it disturbs to other. The novelist suggests that human dig their own grave if they go against the ecology. This research concludes that animals are important parts of nature.They shouldnot be removed from nature. Moreover, it makes aware the growing industrialization and rapid deforestation.This thesis finds the necessity of environment preservation. However, modern people should learn the lesson from the burning scarcity and lack of pure environment which causes the untimely death of people.en_US
