Abstract
This is a research on analysis of novel ‘A Widow’s Gift’ from a feminist perspective. A widow’s gift is novel by Shanti Mishra which was published in 2008. The purpose of this study was to analyze the novel from feminist perspective. My research is qualitative research so it is completely based on secondary sources of data. I read and re-read the original novel of Mishra’s A Widow’s Gift. Twenty eight female issues related sentences and extracts were selected as a data through purposive sampling under non-random or non –probability sampling strategy. Secondary data were analyzed through qualitative approach under documentary analysis. The findings of the study showed that oppression of women, gender discrimination and inequality, restricted women rights and freedom and secondary or subordinate position of females in Nepalese society due to the patriarchal system. Nepalese women have been dominated as the name of caste, widow and they are dominated as the name of culture. Nepalese female have been taken as the dependent, inferior, and weaker class in male dominated society. This thesis is divided into five chapters along with references at the end.
