The thesis entitled Dorris'sA Yellow Raft in Blue Waterexplores the obstructions male female relationship and highlights males’ self-serving thought. It shows thatfemales share a close rapport between and among themselvesand thatthe female relationship getsobstructed by the advent of different male characters in their lives. The relationship among three female characters moves forward with mutual understanding. But then the relationship of females is obstructed by the presence of males. When the females understand that they always need each other and the obstruction is created only from male presence, they again establish mutual relationship among themselves.en_US
